Skinny Margarita Recipe

This recipe is for all health freaks that even look for opportunity to cut calories in cocktails! So what does exactly make it skinny (low calorie)? Well its no-brainer, the traditional preparation requires use of sugar-heavy liqueur and simple syrup, but this skinny margarita recipe replaces them with all natural orange juice and agave syrup making it suitable for guilt free indulgence with same flavors and kick.

Skinny Margarita

Preparation Time: 3 minutes.
Serves: 2 servings
Glassware: Coupette Glass
Ingredients:
4 oz (120 ml) Reposado Tequila
2 oz (60 ml) Fresh Orange Juice
2 oz (60 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
1½ oz (45 ml) Agave Nectar
2 Lime Wedges
Kosher Salt
Crushed Ice

Directions:

  1. Spread kosher salt in a flat plate. Take one lime wedge, grip glass’ rim with it and slide it all around. Dip the glass’ rim in plate so that salt sticks on the wet rim.
  2. Shake first four ingredients in ice filled cocktail shaker.
  3. Strain and pour into serving glasses and garnish with lime wedge. (Add few ice cubes in serving glass before pouring drink in it if you like your cocktails on the rocks.)
