Brandy Sour Cocktail Recipe

Unlike other sour cocktails, brandy sour recipe does not use egg whites, however all other non-spirit ingredients remain same. As with preparing any sour drink, you can play with ratios of its sweet and sour ingredients namely sugar syrup and lemon juice to get the right taste that suits your palate. This recipe however uses them in 4:2:1 parts with 4 parts of brandy, 2 parts of lemon juice and 1 part of sugar syrup with dash of angostura bitters.

Brandy Sour Cocktail

Preparation Time: 2 minutes.
Serves: 1 serving
Glassware: Rocks Glass
2 oz (60 ml) Brandy
1 oz (30 ml) Lemon Juice
1/2 oz (15 ml) Sugar Syrup
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
1 Lemon Wedge
Ice Cubes


  1. Shake all ingredients with ice in shaker and strain into ice filled serving glass.
  2. Garnish with lemon wedge and serve.
